concert list
excluding broadway musicals, classical concerts, and some smaller concerts
- first concert of my life: i cannot disclose this because it’s my security question for some accounts sometime LOL but i was very young, my mom got me merch, i did not know most of the songs, and it was childish and silly
- journey, loverboy tour salt lake city 2012: my family drove down to salt lake city to see this concert! the guitarist came down from the stage and gave me 10 journey guitar picks after attempting to throw them to me. i was just an 11 yr old girl at the front and he thought it was adorable
- pat benatar, loverboy tour salt lake city 2012: she sounds just like her recordings and that is insane. i was also an 11 year old without a fully functional brain
- russ, calgary 2017: my first rap concert and it was terrible. it was $40 and i remember strongly disliking his music and him as a person after. it was so crowded
- hedley, calgary 2017: got $10 tickets to see him with kristal. just so we could listen to crazy 4 you. worth it bc that was my middle school crush anthem
- snoh aalegra, freudian calgary 2017: opened for daniel caesar and she was amazing!! fool for you became one of my favorite songs that year. i also took an insane dump when she first got on so i listened to it from the bathrooms LMAO idk why that is so engrained in my head
- daniel caesar, freudian calgary 2017 : i went with tommy t. and im p sure my ticket was $25. insanity. he was really good and i did not really know proper concert etiquette at the time
- anderson paak & the free nationals, one love calgary 2017: actually insane that my introduction to anderson paak was from a live concert. felt very lucky and instantly knew he would be an all timer. i also got my ticket for free
- lauryn hill, one love calgary 2017: she was 2+ hours late and yet. pretty insane to say i was able to see her live. for free. i did not realize how much of a legend she was back then and yet it was enjoyable for teenage me
- sure sure, calgary 2019: a lil not memorable as an opener to my fave
- young the giant, mirror master calgary 2019: this became one of my favorite concerts! sameer made direct eye contact with me for the entirety of oblivion, which they opened with. this is still one of my favorite songs. i lost my concert shirt and justin sold me his
- elijah woods / jamie fine, canada youth summit 2019: justin trudeau made this happen for what reason. it was so silly but i appreciated the effort LOL. it was like 30 teenagers in a concert and that was it
- roy woods, montreal 2019: he played at my frosh. i did not know any of his music. i think anthony and i fell asleep on the mezzanine
- goldlink, montreal 2019: opened for tyler, kinda mid which made me sad bc i actually listened to a lot of gold link in high school. i swear i was the only one who knew the music around me LMAO
- jaden smith, montreal 2019: opened for tyler, surprisingly really good. there was a lot of anime backgrounds and i realized how big of a week he was
- tyler the creator, igor montreal 2019: my first solo concert in my first week of moving to montreal for university! i moshed so hard. i cried to are we still friends? then i went transited back to douglas with some random girls and they told me i should never go to concerts alone again. liars, still one of my favorite things to do
- madeon, montreal 2019: can you believe i paid $20 cad for this concert? mind-blowing imo lol, really happy that ashley convinced me to go to this last minute. i met 3 guys from ottawa and we got chinese food after
- okey dokey, montreal 2020: opened for summer salt and i had so much fun! i brought bjorn with me and this was actually for a class project. the lead singer danced in the crowd
- summer salt, montreal 2020: very chill and we just hung out. we bumped into more douglas people at this concert
- monstercat/kaskade, new york city 2021: end of 2021, breaking the covid no-concert streak. was a free concert for some web3 event. i dont really like dem
- bren joy, montreal 2021: opened for pink sweats and i actually like brent joy a lot more than pink sweats LOL. i was the only person in the vicinity that actually knew him too :”) henny in the hamptons was truly a random michelle/i high school anthem
- pink sweats, Montreal 2021: terrible live performer and i would not recommend. he had zero stamina and couldn’t sing live, made the audience sing hella. went with brianna!
- thundercat, montreal 2021: most iconic concert to present arielle lore. initially had 5 tickets to go with morgan/xander/abby/matthew but he rescheduled and then i was left with hella tickets bc everyone was out of town. ended up going with michael/brianna/larry/jenshi and that was the first time michael and i spent time together, truly magical and thundercat is just an incredible performer. we held hands and jumped to the front
- deadmaus, denver 2022: duncan / delphi was vip and it was my first time ever (and also only time) ive ever been vip at a concert/rave. kinda nuts. it’s not as fun being up there as it is in the pit
- tiesto, denver 2022: both bo and aadil got too faded and i had to bring them home. then someone unnamed gave us all covid. great set though
- vince staples, CMIYGL montreal 2022: open
- kali uchis, CMIYGL montreal 2022: incredible live performance and she is so gorgeous. so awesome
- tyler the creator, call me if you get lost montreal 2022: tbh not as fun as the igor concert but!! so nostalgic to go to his concert alone again in laval and it was still a great time. even better openers somehow (the two former), his concerts truly never miss
- ramen fog, sofar 2022: supporting one of amy’s very first concerts! it was very cozy
- thundercat, seattle 2022: opened for RHCP (boo) and it was an awesome short set, i was jamming in an empty stadium
- the strokes, seattle 2022: a truly miserable 8 song setlist that nobody danced to (which makes me so sad bc i literally went all the way to seattle to see the strokes only!!) BUT!!!! eddie vedder from pearl jam made a feature and sang juicebox which made it all worth it. absolutely insane. absolutely BONKERS. WHY WONT U COME OVER HEREEEE!!!! julian was off his rocker this day and couldn’t hit most notes but eddie? killed it
- red hot chilli peppers, seattle 2022: i had to leave halfway because i do not like the red hot chilli peppers. LOL. i really had to pay RHCP prices to see the strokes and thundercat but it was worth
- thundercat, vancouver 2022: was not nearly as good as the montreal one - partially bc we were sitting down (beautiful theatre to be fair) and thundercat is truly just a dancing bopping moshing concert to me. then m and i had a huge fight otw home
- mitski, vancouver 2022: i paid an astonishing $60 for this concert. i feel very lucky to have been able to get it for so cheap, park concerts ftw! but wow. mitski’s fanbase is truly not tolerable. i felt like the oldest person in my 10m radius and i was 21 at the time lmao. no way 12 year olds are relating to working for the knife so what’s going on here? michelle came with me
- the killers, vancouver 2022: love love loved this concert. absoutely incredible, vocals insane, great view. i remember some dude was screaming every single lyric terribly so we just moved away from him lol. the guitarist from the smiths came and they played a few smiths songs too! i met an awesome strokes fangirl too :) had a lot of fun
- joji, vancouver 2022: this had to be the worst concert of my life lol. joji’s setlist was 40 minutes long and he was so drugged up and couldn’t sing most of them. the people in attendance was exactly as you’d expect for a joji concert in vancouver. worst of all is that it was 90 cad. never again, and it made me deeply sad to see him in such pits of despair
- niki, vancouver 2022: i actually saw niki twice but i dont remember the other time too much. she is genuinely not that good of a live performer although she tries and i think that her prices reflect that. i went with renee and she had an awesome time tho which was all that rly mattered to me lol
- steve aoki, vegas 2022: random free steve aoki show with sang while we were at a grocery conference. we met some army guy and he threw sang into the disgusting club pool. so funny
- elton john, goodbye yellow brick road vancouver 2022: went here alone in the nosebleeds and was surrounded by 70 year olds. it was lit. elton john is still kicking it hard even in his old age. this was his last canadian show ever (mind-blowing i was there to witness it!)
- ginger root, vancouver 2022: extremely fun but i was also a bit too gone. i threw up outside before we went in and it made me feel better. they had this live feed camera that was just incredibly entertaining to watch!!!
- the rose, manila 2023: justin had some ties to the rose so we got free admission and also got to meet them backstage. was really fun, especially bc i knew none of their songs and everyone around us were mega fans! we read the lyrics off our phones and tried our best to sing along
- rain, singapore 2023: i did not expect for this to happen on my last weekend in singapore but rain was dreamy and marquee is just so fun haha
- psy, singapore 2023: he played 2 songs LMFAO - daddy and gangnam style. i laughed throughout it all. this is a man who gets paid exactly to play 2 songs and he does no more and no less. i went with swetha and mathurah. what a silly silly night. i cannot believe this happened in 2023
- afrojack, ultra taiwan 2023: edm all sounds the same to me. i drank 4 celsius vodkas not knowing that it was an energy drink. i could not sleep for 48 hours and i also had to write final exams right after this festival back in singapore. LMAO. good times indeed. went with justin and the clout kitchen gang
- armin van buuren, ultra taiwan 2023: see former
- martin garrix, ultra taiwan 2023: see former
- nicky romero, ultra taiwan 2023: see former
- ramen fog, vancouver 2023: supporting amy once more in an iconic venue (roxy?)
- shaquille o neal (dj diesel) calgary stampede 2023: i did some unspeakable mistakes during and after this concert. told the mini donut girl i loved her. that was the only truth that night
- fisher, calgary stampede 2023: i am pretty sure i left early. edm is so boring to me lol
- tegan and sara, calgary stampede 2023: went with athi and his sister and karl. i wore a EKG monitor to this concert LOL. also tegan and sara went to my shitty, terrible highschool and they are just awesome alum - they donate to support a lot of social initiatives.
- TLC, stampede 2023: u know what. they still got it. i walked to the venue from my house
- shaggy, stampede 2023: wasn’t me! also somehow still has it. really fun to go alone to. shaggy pretended the mic was his schlong
- dacey, vancouver 2023: went with BOBC friends and stepmom became such an anthem for me that summer
- bring me the horizon toronto 2023: opened for fob. i never though i would ever hear em again let alone live lol. was never my type of music but i could not help but laugh
- fall out boy toronto 2023: our magic 8 ball was west coast smoker!!! i could’ve sobbed. how lucky are we to have gotten a folie song…
- fred again.., osheaga montreal 2023: i was jumping for my life. this was my happiest moment of summer 2023. maybe because of other reasons but yea. very huggy mood fosho…
- kendrick lamar, osheaga montreal 2023: moshing to money trees is another core memory. kdot started RIGHT when Fred again ended. He gave his set list to someone up front who knew every lyric by heart. i thought that was so sweet
- milky chance, vancouver 2023: I came for ytg but it seemed like most people actually came for milky chance. Thought that was a terrible take
- young the giant, vancouver 2023: single-handedly carried this concert. knew every lyric and locked eye contact with sameer multiple times. front row baby
- weyes blood, red rocks 2023: life changing. i cried and ascended. most people didnt know who they were and i was shocked. movies had a beautiful visual component
- the strokes, red rocks 2023: Peak. must be my favorite concert of all time. i flew to denver just for this and slept overnight at LAX. I met two Waterloo boys at the denver art museum and they saved me. we ended up driving to red rocks together and i managed to sneak them into my awesome row near the front and right in the middle (they were initially in the back GA sections). afterwards we got tacos from a off the road place at 2am. it was beautiful
- kaytranada / amine / kaytramine montreal 2023: just so silly and fun - went with bo! i thought it was the perfect way to end summer, though the concert was much shorter than i expected.
- slow pulp, montreal 2023: definitely slow pulp’s best concert during this tour if u ask them. something about montreal crowds do not hold back. i smoked a cig on the way home. yard went hard
- chainsmokers, vegas 2023: saw them on a whim and for free. we were front row and i could not care less for their music but we did get a bunch of free $2 bills and zoe rizzed up the security guards lol
- the brokes, montreal 2023: the beginning of my obsession with the brokes. they are the strokes but they still love the music and play long sets. i had so much fun here with larry. we came so early and i danced so hard and sang every lyric. someone on the stm came up to me afterwards and told me i set the vibe and i was the best person they’ve seen at a concert. larry and i had a heart to heart at shawarmaz after. it was just a wonderful night
- matt maltese, boston 2024: michael and i went together and we tried to memorize the lyrics so we wouldnt look like fake fans. it was raining super hard and i took us down the wrong street so we added an extra 30 mins to our walk plus we were soaking wet. but then we just cuddled on the top floor handrails and sang along. it was very cute
- jacob collier, boston 2024: went with super fans anna and liam/song. we were right in front of him near the railings, it was insane. truly ascended and he made the crowd his choir! expected nothing less. afterwards we made instant noodles at my place
- the wasia project, boston 2024: opened for laufey and it was cool to hear them live. had no idea they were siblings. i think they had some stuff to figure out re: stamina and performing live but yeah def prefer their studio stuff more
- laufey, boston 2024: idk how she does it but she sounds even better in person. it must be her band… they play so many instruments (and so does she!). i talked with the dad and his 14 year old daughter who sat next to me. it was v endearing to listen to their stories of shared music interests. i bought lots of merch for michael that he religiously wears to this day.
- the brokes, boston (malden) 2024: there were maybe 10 people that showed up and john and i made the dance floor our own despite john not knowing any strokes songs. i think john was singlehandedly the only reason they came back to massachusetts. anyway, the bar was strokes themed too and had a drink named after them for the night. i thought the venue was great but not enough people at all bahahahha. this was the start of my budding relationship with the brokes though <3 they could not help but talk to me because we were the only people there fr…
- regina spektor, boston 2024: i copped this ticket for $5 no joke. insane value for how talented she is. she played piano and sang silly songs and i felt so inspired to write my own silly songs after. she made us all laugh with some out of pocket sentences randomly scattered everywhere. true whimsy maxxer all-timer fr.
- justice, boston 2024: went with claire and i thought it was okay! i think it was a mixture of it being too short and also not dance-y enough. like it was just kinda like sitting down and listening to dance music but not really inspiring enough to get up and dance yourself? this is the type of music id listen at the planetarium instead of going to live lmao
- hans zimmer, boston 2024: i bought this ticket off an old man on reddit and it was a beautiful, beautiful seat. i cried during interstellar (who would’ve guessed) and i cannot believe the range of vocals these ladies could hit. insanely talented band - and there were so many of them - and hans zimmer would complement each of them by name. just a wonderful time, i was truly <33
- fred again.., toronto 2024: michael fell asleep during this concert because he drank too much. i let strangers take photos with him because i thought it was funny too. i thought this concert kinda sucked compared to the other time i saw fred - maybe because i wasn’t in the pit and also wasn’t on the same stuff haha
- crack cloud, new york 2024: i cannot believe these guys are from calgary, alberta. what the hell? insane. kinda way too intense for me but i cannot help but respect them for making some funky ass tunes while growing up in the same place as me. once in a lifetime opportunity to open for the voidz.
- the voidz, new york 2024 (apollo): i ended up meeting a wonderful friend of mine, gabe, at this concert because we both bought solo tickets. because julian starts late in julian fashion, we ended up talking for hours and hours and got to know each other very well. he was more than a decade older than me and he was actually the reason why my favorite voidz song exists… he produced the documentary about julian’s dad and julian wrote human sadness for it. i was shook. we ended up going to the next voidz concert together after :)
- the voidz, new york 2024 (knockdown): gabe and i got cheap sushi in brooklyn and then bussed up together. we came kinda late because we had already saw the voidz earlier in the weekend, and that was a mistake because knockdown is not slanted. so u cant see anything from the back at all. i dont think i got a single glimpse of the band but regardless, gabe told me he had never been in a mosh pit in his life. so i took it into my own hands to start a mosh pit during the eternal tao 2.0 and that was insane and brought the concert to new levels lol. it was sweaty and so silly and fun!!! t-e-t-e-t!!!!!! then everyone could see <3
- the brokes, boston 2024 (cambridge): so fun! i met a girl named sophie who was also a die hard strokes fan. the brokes were happy to see me yet again. we danced like crazy and john & cassie came and danced up a storm too. this was the night they became official <3 heheheheh
- poolside, new york 2024: very chillax and john and i danced in circles and got dizzy. aroundddd daaaa sunnnn
- lcd soundsystem, new york 2024: so much fun to be here with john. we definitely chose the wrong side of the stage to be on LOL and i think it would’ve been more fun to be deeper in the crowd despite being able to see less. it’s hard to dance when youre on the railing and LCD is definitely a dancey place to be. if we had went to the concert the following day we would’ve got our favourite songs (mine being american dream, john wanting to hear us v them as the opener and/or yeah at some point). i had so much fun being there with john though. a bucket list item checked off :)
- the brokes, toronto 2024: i brought collin and he had to be subjected to my brokes fan behaviour that he ended up ditching me halfway LMFAO. love him for that. i danced and moshed and jumped and they brought a girl out to sing modern girls and it was epic…
- emile mosseri, boston 2025: i won his merch giveaway and ended up meeting emile at the merch desk… it was insane. we ended up talking for a while and he gave me parenting advice/signed my vinyl and it was so sweet. he is a wonderful dude - i usually do not like meeting my idols but this was an exception to the norm. i met another berklee student whose style was similar to emile’s (and he also won the merch giveaway!) and we sat down together and listened to emile play piano. it was intimate and warm, and i look forward to his scoring debut too!!!! emile has consistently been my top 2 spotify artists fyi - my comfort music, and train/plane music
upcoming:
- the brokes, cambridge 2025:
- magdalena bay, boston 2025:
- japanese breakfast, Boston 2025:
- tennis, boston 2025:
